Combine a walk with cheese tasting – discover the ‘Fromenade’!

Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind experience, combining your love of enchanting landscapes and delicious flavours? Let yourselves be inspired by the original ‘Fromenade’ offered by Séverine and Christophe in the Stoumont region. 

But what’s a ‘fromenade’? You may have guessed! This is the unexpected, but oh so delicious combination of a ‘promenade’, French for ‘walk’ and ‘fromage’, French for ‘cheese’. Local cheeses with character, just like the region that you’ll discover along the trails suggested. And as an extra treat, a little gift for Ardennes-Etape customers: One soft drink or local beer per fee-paying adult.  

Wonderful ‘fromenade’ 

Whether you choose a shorter route accessible to pushchairs and wheelchairs (2 to 5 km), an intermediate version (6 to 8 kilometres) or a long walk (12 to 15 km), the Fromenade will appeal to all types of walkers. How does it work? On your arrival at Séverine and Christophe’s, in exchange for a deposit, they’ll give you a backpack in which you’ll find everything you need for your open-air fondue. Even if the weather is unpredictable!  

And then? Off you go! Using the map of your route, you’ll set off to explore corners of the countryside and magnificent vistas. Then enjoy a melt-in-the-mouth culinary break. Yes, your mouths are watering, we know! And once your walk is over, just hand over your backpack, in which you have kept your dirty dishes and rubbish, to receive your deposit. So, ready to taste the ‘fromenade’?
